With over 17 years of experience in developing courseware and learning solutions for hundreds of clients of all types, CCI has a proven methodology that ensures an exceptional end-product.
A proper understanding of our client's business goals, audience and training needs is crucial in creating effective content to meet those needs and provide a successful learning program. CCI's experienced Senior Business Analysts ensure that the approach, audience, and strategy are aligned to maximize success. We refer to this as the Solution Design Phase.
Knowing your audience, and how it can be segmented into appropriate "Groups," helps us understand both how content can be segmented and how the reporting structure will look. CCI provides in-depth meetings and planning sessions, to bring content and user group structures into harmony.
During the Solution Design Phase, CCI provides technical consulting about the compatibility, risk and technical readiness for our product offering.
CCI excels in creating online content. From well-founded instructional design principles to comprehensive curriculum development, CCI creates and structures content to meet the training needs of our clients. At CCI, we take pride in our ability to translate complex technical information into easily understandable and engaging educational experiences.
Starting with a review of existing content, CCI's Instructional Designers work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in every step of the Course creation process. There are reviews and sign-off dependencies at key stages of the project to ensure our courses meet the expectations of key stakeholders. The flowchart below illustrates this process.

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) works closely with the key project stakeholders to determine the content of the learning experience. After the content has been identified, it is outlined in the form of courses or "Shareable Content Objects" (SCOs). The SME then meets our CCI Writer to review the rough outlines, raw material and the overall plan for the course. The CCI writer then creates draft storyboards for the course SCOs.
CCI utilizes storyboard templates, or client-provided content development tools, to maintain consistency in the production process. If required, the SME is trained to interpret the storyboard template.
The CCI writer takes the outlines, raw materials and SME input to create a draft storyboard for each SCO in the course. The CCI writer provides the draft storyboard(s) to the SME, who then reviews the content and approach. The CCI writer accepts the SME edits into the storyboard and provides a final version for sign-off.
The final SCO storyboard is released to the CCI production team (programming, graphic creation, quality assurance) for development. The production team provides the CCI Writer and SME with an online link to review an alpha version of the lesson to ensure it matches the edited storyboard. This review is limited to small edits at this point in the overall process. The CCI production team incorporates the edits based on the writer/SME review and provides a final version for sign-off.

Having identified the topics and content types, and created a Course outline, CCI works with you to apply the appropriate look and feel to the graphics, animations and overall lesson "brand".
All activities are coordinated by the CCI Project Manager and outlined in the project schedule, which is reviewed with you, before any work starts.
